What Is Reiki?

A gentle, evidence‑supported practice for restoring balance, easing stress, and supporting the body’s natural healing abilities.

Reiki (pronounced ray‑kee) is a Japanese energy‑healing technique that promotes relaxation, emotional clarity, and energetic alignment. It works by channeling universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to help clear stagnant energy, soothe the nervous system, and support the body’s innate ability to heal.

Reiki is not a religion, belief system, or medical treatment. It is a complementary healing modality used worldwide — including in hospitals, cancer centers, and integrative medicine clinics — to help patients reduce stress, manage symptoms, and improve overall well‑being.

At its core, Reiki is about energetic harmony. When your energy is balanced, your mind becomes clearer, your emotions soften, and your body can finally exhale.

How Reiki Works

During a Reiki session, you remain fully clothed while I gently place my hands above or lightly on the body. Many people experience:

  • A deep sense of calm

  • Warmth, tingling, or waves of energy

  • Emotional release

  • Reduced stress or anxiety

  • Improved sleep

  • A feeling of being “reset” or realigned

Reiki supports the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — making it a powerful complement to personal growth, spiritual awakening, and leadership development.
